This Privacy Policy explains how Quick Wishlist (“the app,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when merchants install the app on their Shopify store and when their customers use the wishlist feature.
Information We Collect:
When a merchant installs Quick Wishlist, we collect basic store information, including the shop domain and app configuration settings.
When a customer uses the wishlist feature on a merchant’s storefront, we collect:
- Customer identifier (Shopify customer ID for logged-in customers, or an anonymous guest identifier for visitors without an account)
- Customer email address (only when available through Shopify, used to identify wishlists across devices)
- Product details for wishlisted items, including product ID, title, handle, image, and price
- Timestamps of when items were added to a wishlist
How We Use Information:
We use the information we collect to:
- Display saved wishlist items to the customer across visits and devices
- Allow customers to share their wishlist with others
- Show merchants analytics about wishlisted products and customer activity in their app dashboard
- Send optional back-in-stock notifications, if enabled by the merchant
- Send wishlist event data to Klaviyo, only if the merchant has connected their own Klaviyo account and enabled this integration
Data Sharing:
We do not sell customer data. Data is shared with third parties only in the following case: if a merchant enables the optional Klaviyo integration and provides their own Klaviyo API key, wishlist activity is sent to Klaviyo for that merchant’s marketing use. We do not share data with any other third party.
Data Storage and Security:
Data is stored on secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure. Access to this data is limited to what is necessary to operate the app.
Data Retention:
Wishlist data is retained for as long as the merchant has the app installed. If a merchant uninstalls the app, associated shop data is deleted in accordance with Shopify’s data protection requirements.
Customer Rights (GDPR):
In compliance with Shopify’s GDPR requirements, we support the following customer data requests, which merchants and Shopify can trigger on a customer’s behalf:
- Request a copy of a customer’s data
- Request deletion of a customer’s data
- Request deletion of all shop data upon uninstall
